David, based in San Francisco, advises Ascent Leadership Networks on Strategic Development and Planning.
He has an extensive 26-year history working at the forefront of executive and civic engagement in leadership development and is a Certified Rapid Innovation Lab Facilitator, Certified Governance Trainer, and Civic Change Leadership Trainer.
At the Presidio Trust, an innovative federal agency created to save the Presidio in San Francisco and transform it into a new kind of national park, David serves as the Director of Learning and Development. He has run fellowship and leadership education programs as diverse as for cross sector corporate, nonprofit, and government leaders to orchestra managers and conductors.
Additionally, David currently serves as a Senior Governance Consultant for BoardSource. Active on boards, he is VP, Programs of the Association for Talent Development Golden Gate Chapter, past treasurer of the International Association for Volunteer Effort (IAVE), past chair of the Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration (CCVA), and past president of Volunteer Alexandria.
David holds a Specialization in Design Thinking and Innovation from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude Degree in English from Wake Forest University.
